As Hillel would say before he ate, that he is going to make a favor to his body. Since his body was considered by him as something which is not a part of  him. Rather, the g-dly soul would give him life, since the animalistic soul turned into good. But by a benoni, the bad did not turn into good, therefore, it is him.
