Daily Tanya for 3rd of Shvat

The old rebbe says in the 16th chapter that the main thing in the benonis way is that he lights up his soul with the light of G-d, through thinking about the greatness of G-d, and then he will love G-d, and he will not sin. The rebbe explains that even if he cannot awaken his love, so his heart should have a big desire to cleave to G-d, still, since he thinks about the great ness of G-d and that causes him not to do bad things, because he thinks to himself: since G-d is so great, I want to be connected to him through doing good things and not doing bad things. It is considered as if he did everything out of love, since the thinking brought him to do everything, and without this thinking he would not do anything. Now the old rebbe asks question: it says in the Talmud that G-d combines to an action. But why does it say it in this way, it should have said that whoever thinks to do something good, it is considered as if he did it? The old rebbe answers: the love in the heart combines with all mitzvoth one does in order to bring them up to G-d, and it is understood, since the heart is physical as all other limbs. However, when one does the mitzvoth through thinking, without a revealed love, G-d combines them to be together, since logically they cannot combine. And this thinking is called 'a good though'. Now the old rebbe says that even without this thought it will go up to G-d, lust to a lower level, in the third world which is called 'yetzirah' (G-d created 4 worlds 1: atzilut, which is the highest. 2: beriah. 3: yetzirah. 4: asiah, which is our world.) but the thought or love bring it up to beriah (the second world).
