Portion Korach

This week's reading tells of a series of miracles occurred since Korach and his company opened a debate on the role of Aaron: the earth opened her mouth and swallowed Korach and his men. At the same time; came out fire by G-d and burned two hundred and fifty who offered incense, sought to undermine the tenure of Aaron.

After these two great miracles G-d brought another miracle: He ordered all the tribal leaders to give Moses the staffs, and write their names on every staff and staff. Which was also a staff of Aaron, and all the staffs were placed in the tabernacle. And the next day turned out to be "blossom Aaron Levy family, and grew out of a flower and almond blossom."

The question is, what the third miracle was needed after all the children of Israel saw the two of supernatural miracles that occurred before? Is the earth swallowed Korach and his followers, a divine fire burned who offered incense, was still some doubt about the election of G-d to Aaron the priest?

Another issue requiring interpretation of the growth process almonds in Aaron's staff: flower, blossom and almonds fruit. After all; the growth almonds on severed staff in one night, supernatural miracle altogether. What was the first to bloom flower, then comes up checked ("ripening of fruits, when the flower falls," Rashi's commentary), and only then will grow almonds - why was not enough to grow almonds directly from staff?

The answer to both questions is one: the first two miracles proved that G-d indeed chose Aaron Priest. Opening the ground proved "that the Lord has sent me to do all these things." When two hundred and fifty who offered incense stood next to Aaron, and fire came out from G-d and hit them and not him - this was proof that Aaron is the man he chose the sacrifice of incense and the priesthood.
But both of these proofs are not yet completely eliminate the complaints of Israel and the priesthood of Aaron. Indeed, these miracles have proved that G-d chose Aaron, but how do we know that Aaron deserves the chosen than others? G-d may be ordered to appoint Aaron High Priest at the request and prayer of Moses, his brother?

So G-d commanded to concentrate the staffs of the tribes in tabernacle, and brought about the miracle of Staff. Here was introduced natural order of growth of the almonds - flower, blossom and fruit. Hence the children of Israel understood that the selection of Aaron was a natural consequence of being worthy of it. And as the saying G-d before the miracle of Staff: "There was a man who will choose his staff bloom" - that was G-d's choice, not request of Moses and the like.

The staff's miracle closed the door on other claims against the priesthood, and so G-d commanded to put the staffs for safekeeping at the Temple, eternal testimony to choice of G-d's Aaron and his sons' reality and will not be a change.
