Portion Chukat

"That the Constitution of the Torah which G-d commanded… you should take a red cow ..." (19,2)

Commandment of a red cow is different from the other Commandments. Commandment of a red cow is a mitzvah not understood, we have to do the mitzvah of acceptance. All the commandments, we should do, not because we understand or enjoy the precept, but only because it will of G-d, acceptance absolute.

Acceptance is expressed prominently in doing a mitzvah of the red heifer, because there is no reason to this commandment.

"Constitution" from the language of engraved (in Hebrew), like letters carved in stone and become an integral part of stone he carved.
There are two types of carved:
  1. Ordinary carved - the letters or drawing relevance only the top layer of stone, and not to the base.
  2. Side to side carved - Letters or drawing set in depth until they reached the bottom of the stone layer and occupies the entire volume of the stone platform, like carved tablets of the law.
"Constitution" - is to do the mitzvah as side to side carved. Do the commandment with all mental powers, making a complete acceptance.

We are reading the "Chukat" chapter in close proximity to 12-13 Tammuz This is a holiday of redemption of the previous Rebbe (Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson). On this day, he came out from prison (he was tried at first to the death penalty and it was replaced to exile in Castrama city and then is replaced free). The reason for his arrest was studied and taught Torah and worked to establish Mikvahs and Yeshivas in Soviet Russia, it was against Soviet law. The previous Rebbe devoted all his life really, but it worked with equanimity, with order and purpose. The rabbi, the president gives us powers to act to complete acceptance that will be affected by acceptance of the intellect.
