"You shall appoint a king." (17, 15)
One of the commandments mentioned in the weekly Torah portion is the appointment a king. G-d commands the people of Israel to appoint a king, and later detailed commandments and warnings related to the King. What's that interested the king? Maimonides says, King's heart is the heart of all the congregation of Israel". I mean, King likened to the heart.
Why Choose Maimonides, liken the king to the heart and not to brain? True heart pumps the life blood to all parts of the body, but the heart just living them, and who the leader of the organs is the brain controls them.
